A French-Language non-fiction book 'Our Friend's Car', written by Jacques Lost, illustrated by Geo Ham and Pierre Rousseau. Published by the French publishing house Name, with a preface by Vicomte de Rohan, the President of the Automobile-Club of France and the National Federation of Automobiles of France, who declared the book to be 'instructive' and 'amusing'. The volume details the inventions which preceded the car, including the piston, and the valve. It dates the first automobile the Celle De Cugnot to 1769. List of artwork inside: illustrations on most pages to accompany the story. Fair condition, front and back covers worn and edges fraying. Spine fraying but pages still bound and held together. Some pencil markings on the front cover and scratches on the back cover. 95 pages.
