Original vintage souvenir programme for the National Aviation Day Display featuring a fantastic image of three planes flying down with a portrait of Sir Alan Cobham with the text on the side: New events! New thrills! New aircraft! Fly with the three aces! The skilled English aviator and airline founder, Sir Alan John Cobham (1894-1973), was a pilot with the Royal Flying Corps / Royal Air Force during World War One, then a test pilot before setting up a series of aviation days consisting of a team of aircraft known as Cobham's Flying Circus that toured the UK from 1932 to 1935. This programme has many photos and information articles as well as illustrated advertisements for Burberrys ltd.(featuring Alan J. Cobham), Rolls-Royce aero engines, Rolex etc. Fair condition, yellow tape on the spine and between cover and inside cover, creases and tears on the margin, minor staining, pages are frayed. 31 pages.
