Illustrirovannaya Gazeta was an illustrated supplement to Pravda newspaper. This issue is of historical interest as it reports on the Soviet-Japanese Neturality Pact of 1941, with photos of Japanese Foreign Minister Matsuoka and USSR politician Molotov signing the agreement and shaking hands. An article on Tadjikistani art includes photos of a production of Othello, a ballet and an opera, and a children's theatre ensemble. The magazine also includes features on meteorology, food production and preservation, and a chess tournament. Good condition, minor tears on page edges, pencil writing on front cover, circles and arrows drawn in pencil next to some articles.
