Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 21, 12th May 1929. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A painting on the front cover by G Ryazhsky entitled 'Physical Education', an advertisement for a book market on the back cover. This edition includes a section dedicated to 'Stories about Bears', a feature '5 Years' about all the Soviet Union has achieved in that period, an article on the 16th Part Conference. List of artwork inside: illustrations to accompany the section 'Stories about Bears' by A Brey; illustrations to accompany the story 'A Branch of Mistletoe' by N V Krutikov. Fair condition, two incision holes from the binding, some stains on the back cover, pencil writing along the bottom edge, on page 13 General Secretary Stalin's face has been scratched out with a pen, trimmed along margins. 20 pages.
