French language version of L'URSS en Construction - СССР на стройке - SSSR Na Stroika - USSR in Construction, issue #7, dated 1936. USSR in Construction was a monthly constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This issue is dedicated to the construction of the Ural railroad car factory and contains some excellent examples of constructivist photomontage and design. Photos show the construction of the factory, aerial views of the site, housing around the factory, a nearby school, workshops and the train wagons. Portraits show the engineers responsible for the build. Fair condition, tears and paper loss on cover, tear along the spine of the cover, creasing, staining.
