Bound full set of ten Soviet crime novels Mess Mend ili Ianki v Petrograde - Mess Mend or Yankee in Petrograd by Jim Dollar (pseudonym for Marietta Shaginian), one of the most prolific communist writers experimenting in satirical fantasy fiction. Issued as individual brochures, each volume features photo-montage cover and constructivist typographic design by Alexander Rodchenko. Printed by The State Publishing House in Moscow, 1924. Bound issues, cover of issue 7 glued onto the hard binding and number 7 is altered to look like number 1, cover of issue 1 is missing, all other issues full and include covers, burn marks on front pages, light brown staining throughout, trimmed along edges for binding, tear on issue 10 cover, 331 pages.
