His work was one the highest in the number of decorated books in the Soviet Union. He was one of the most prolific, original and sought-after book artists. The original technique, which was able to synthesise very different stylistic tendencies of the 20s-30s, which determined the “graphic appearance” of the products of such large publishing houses as the State Publishing House, “Earth and Factory”, “Young Guard”, “Proletarian”.
