Original antique Soviet monthly literary, artistic, and socio-political magazine Molodaya Gvardiya / Young Guard February-March 1924 in Russian with a run of 15 000 copies, a special edition dedicated to Lenin, who died in January 1924. The cover features a photomontage by Gustav Klutsis (1895-1938), a pioneering Latvian photographer and a major member of the Constructivist avant-garde in the early 20th century. Includes articles about Lenin, prose and poetry excerpts by Vladimir Mayakovsky, L. Trotsky, G. Chicherin, and others. Features photographs and 2 black and red photomontages by the Soviet artists Sergei Senkin, G. Klutsis, and Alexander Rodchenko, 2 out of 16 photomontages are present, and the rest are absent.
