Original vintage magazine USSR in Construction (SSSR Na Stroike), Issue #10 1932, XV year of Revolution. USSR in Construction was a monthly constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. The issue is dedicated to Dnieprostroy and the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station, and tells the story of its construction with great examples of constructivist photography and photomontage. A photomontage illustrates the areas which use electricity from the hydroelectric station; a circular photo of power lines forms a compass, with arrows pointing to pictures of regions to the north, south, east, and west. Artworks and design by El Lissitzky, photos by M Alpert, A Shaihet, published by Association of State Publishers of the RSFSR. Fair condition, some pages are loose, tears on the cover, browning and stain on some pages.
