Soviet weekly magazine Red Field, issue №24, 27 May 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Constructivist cover has painting by P. Shukhmin, soviet painter, graphic artist, poster artist and teacher. This edition includes article "10 years since Plekhanov's death" by B. Goren, story "Drevlyane" by L. Nikulin, Russian Soviet writer, poet and playwright, journalist, war correspondent; article "What is happening in Alsace?" by Bernard Lecache, French writer and journalist, politician and public figure; essay "Uninhabitable house" A. Litvak; article "Deni" by F. Roginsky; essay "Smugglers" by D. Mallori, article "Did you know?". This issue is illustrated by various artists, such as P. Shukhmin, Soviet painter, graphic artist, poster artist and teacher; K. Eliseev, Russian Soviet graphic artist and theatre and film artist; V. Rozhdestvensky, Russian, Soviet painter, graphic artist; Deni, Russian satirist, cartoonist and poster artist. He was one of the major agitprop poster artists of the Bolshevist period. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK", 110 000 copies. Poor condition, cover and pages are detached. Staples are missing. Was part of bound yearly volume. Tears and loss of material on the spine. Minor dusting, rubbings and staining. Cancelled library stamp on the back cover. Pencil handwriting on the last page. Bottom edge is slightly trimmed. 20 pages.
