Paul Gauguin's Noa Noa Voyage a Tahiti, reproduced by Syndicat de la Propriete Artistique. Gauguin travelled to Tahiti for the first time 1891 in search of paradisical escape from Europe and was greatly inspired by the experience; upon his return to Paris he began work on Noa Noa, a book of woodcuts and text which reflected his travels. The resulting prints are highly experimental, playing with colour and technique - the accompanying text explains the works to the European viewer. Poor condition, minor staining on back cover, minor creasing on cover corners, first and last pages featuring the cover prints are detached with tears and paper losses. Inside pages are in very good condition.
