Original cover made in socialist realism style by Aleksandr Deyneka, one of most important Russian modernist figurative painters of the first half of the 20th century. Book written by renowned french author Georges Duhamel, who was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature twenty-seven times. Printed by ZIF (Zemlya i Fabrika) in 1930 in adition of 5000. Poor condition, front and back covers almost detached, loss of spine, tears on the front and back covers, pages are frayed. Parts of write tape next to the spine on front and back covers. Pen handwriting on the second cover, cancelled library stamps on the back cover, pen and pencil handwriting on the back cover. 111 pages.
