"Old Moscow" starts with introduction article called "Woodcut print art and craftsmanship of Pavlov" by L. Varshavsky, Russian art historian, art critic, historian of Russian graphics. Ivan Pavlov, Russian and Soviet engraver and painter. People's Artist of the RSFSR. Winner of the Stalin Prize of the second degree. He worked in the technique of tone engraving, one of the first to approve a new type of engraving, in which the master engraver is an independent artist. In this book there is collection of works dedicated to Moscow's landscape9(21 engravings). Published by Novaya Moskva, fairly small edition of 2000 copies. Poor condition, paper loss on the spine and on the margins, staining, rubbings, pages are frayed. Cancelled library stamps, small pen and pencil handwriting on the back cover.
