The book is a limited-number (3000 copies) monography of a Russian graphic artist and illustrator Sergey Chekhonin, active with the second generation of the group Mir Iskusstva (World of Art). The essay by Abram Efros called "The Master of the Empire style in Russia" is followed by a catalogue of Chekhonin's artwork in colour, occasionally captioned in Russian and French; and a full list of featured images. Excellent condition, sporadic light stains, some pages in the catalogue part in risk of staying unbound, the spin partly cut. 114 pages.
