This pocket-size edition is part of the English-language series published by the Foreign Languages Publishing House in Moscow, which aims at edification of the foreign, particularly American readers, about all the aspects of the Soviet reality. The book is devoted to the development of the Soviet cities. The essay by professor I. Golossov is intermingled with photographs of buildings in Moscow, Tbilisi, Ashkhabad, Chelyabinsk and Stalingrad. The cover's design is by H. Klering.
