Prozhektor is Soviet illustrated literary and satirical magazine, published in Moscow as a supplement to the newspaper Pravda in 1923-1935 .This issue is dedicated to Lenin; his portrait features on the front cover. Inside, a series of photos focuses on industrialisation, with images of workers on construction sites. A great illustration by Deyneka is captioned 'these days, the whole world is listening to the heavy tread of the prole', with figures on balconies waving to workers marching below. A cartoon by M Babichenko illustrates the 'October task in four actions': 'addition' with workers meeting, 'subtraction' as capitalists are expelled, 'multiplication' with crowds of workers gathering, and 'division' of wealth. Articles focus on the industrialisation of agriculture, Grozneft oil, and Belarus. Includes installments of stories such as 'veshi' (things) by A Zorich. Good condition, staining, browning, foxing, minor tear along spine on cover.
