Prozhektor #9 1928

Prozhektor № 9 (127), Soviet illustrated literary and satirical magazine, published 26 February 1928. It was published in Moscow as a supplement to the newspaper Pravda in 1923-1935. The cover photo is captioned Old and New and shows men riding camels past a tram in Tashkent. This issue contains articles, short stories, poems, photos, news, cartoons and satirical drawings. Of particular note are drawings by Yuliy Ganf and Viktor Deni (1893-1946). Deni was one of the major agit-prop poster artists of the Bolshevist period, later becoming known for newspaper cartoons about foreign policy issues.
