Special edition of French Communist magazine 'Regards', titled 16 Annees de Victoire / 16 Years of Victory. Issue #29, November 1933. Established in 1932, Regards was a communist monthly journal renowned for its photojournalism, published in France. This issue celebrates 16 years since the October Revolution and 15 years since Armistice Day. The cover shows photos of young women holding a flag and smiling, with crowds gathered beneath the Kremlin in the background. Headlines from the issue include 'Alert on the Manchurian borders!', 'Do Soviet workers live better than workers in capitalist countries?', 'On the Carbon Front in Ukraine' and a feature on Tsarist Moscow. The back cover shows a montage of cheering crowds outside Lenin's mausoleum, a giant silo and a communist soldier. Poor condition, loose pages, damaged spine, tears, dog-earing, foxing, creasing.
