Bound subscription of the two Illustrated constructivist magazines on current affairs in the Soviet Union. Issue #2 1939 focused on the 21st anniversary of the Red Army and the Navy. Articles and stories were written by S Gurov, V Kaverin, N Plisko and others. Illustrations by T Eremina B Mesropyan, V Goryaev etc. Very poor condition. Tears and loss of material on the spine, discolouration marks. Dusting, rubbings and staining on the cover. Pages are discoloured, stained and slightly distressed. Last few pages of the magazine are very distressed and have a loss of material. Library stamp and pen handwriting on the first page. 95th page has pencil handwriting. Published by GOSLITIZDAT, 1939. Issue #5 1941 mostly focused on poems and stories by authors such as I Franko, S Stal'sky, I Aramilev and many others. Illustrations by G Orlova, I Pogojev, V Chernetsov. Poor condition. The cover is missing. Pages are discoloured. Published by GOSLITIZDAT, 1941.
