Biography of Alisa Koonen written by Leonid Grossman. Koonen also known as Alice Coonen, was a Russian and Soviet actress and the wife of the director Alexander Tairov. Cover and binding made by Vladimir and Georgii Stenberg who rank amongst the most notable Soviet Constructivist artists and graphic designers of the early 20th century. They were know for innovative use of perspective, geometry, typography and colour to convey a dynamic sense of movement and energetic depth. Contains pictures and illustrations of Alisa Koonen. Silver embossed cover. Very good condition, minor rubbings, library sticker on the inside of the back cover, cancelled library stamps. Most of prints have protective paper. Published by Academia. 105 pages.
