"Around the World" the oldest Russian and Soviet magazine focusing on popular science and geography, history, world culture, published since 1861. Constructivist cover by I. Ets, Soviet illustrator. He illustrated and designed books for Detizdat. He was a member of the creative association of Leningrad artists “Battle Pencil”. Issue was illustrated by such artists L. Kantorovich, Soviet writer and screenwriter, also known as a theatre artist; and A. Besperstov, V. Lebedev, V. Sveshnikov, V. Fogel. This issue contains articles about victory of five year plan, plot of novel by I. Brazhnin "Line of running", part of the book by D. Zhukov "Nazhum", story of a diver talking about his job and so on. Published by "Pravda" publishing, 185 000 copies. Fair condition, loss of material and tears on the spine and on margins, pen and pencil handwriting on the front and back cover, rusty staples. Staining, rubbings. 24 pages.
