"Around the World" the oldest Russian and Soviet magazine focusing on popular science and geography, history, world culture, published since 1861. Cover illustration by N Ushin, Soviet graphic artist, theatre designer and book illustrator. Ushin illustrated the Russian translation of One Thousand and One Nights published in eight volumes by Academia. His illustrations for One Thousand and One Nights were awarded a gold medal at the 1937 Paris Exposition. Ushin also made lithographs and bookplates. His works are kept in several Saint Petersburg museums. List of this issue's artwork included illustrations by A Lubimov for the story "Court in Alaska", G Fitingof for the story "Last flight of the "Moon Columbus" and I Korolev for the story "Golden train". Published by "Krasnaya Gazeta", 1929. Fair condition of the cover, loss of material and tears on the spine, pencil handwriting on the back cover, rubbings. Pages are in a good condition. 24 pages.
