A Soviet magazine Art in the Masses, issue number 3(11), March, 1930. Dedicated to presenting the work of the Russian people, supported by the Association of Revolutionary Artists. A Constructivist design on the front cover featuring the stylised silhouettes of workers. This edition includes articles ‘In the Life of Gustav Kurb’, ‘Woman and Artistic Production’ and ‘Artist or the Agricultural Collective!’. List of some artwork inside: two paintings ‘Peasant Woman’ and ‘Bricklayers’ by G Kurb; statues ‘Peasant Woman’ and ‘Partizan’ by O Somova’; a statue ‘Wood Shovel’ by T Smotrova; a painting entitled ‘Baky. Bibi-Ei-Bat. Petroleum Towers’ by S V Ryangin. Good condition, pencil markings across front cover, worn spine, bottom half ripped. Pencil marking on top edge of back cover, stains on front and back covers. 32 pages.
