The book was dedicated to A Skryabin, Russian composer and pianist. Scriabin was one of the most innovative and most controversial of early modern composers. Leo Tolstoy described Scriabin's music as "a sincere expression of genius." Scriabin had a major impact on the music world over time and influenced composers such as Igor Stravinsky, Sergei Prokofiev, and Karol Szymanowski. The book contains a portrait of Skryabin and a photograph of his house. Published by the State Publishing house in 1925. The poor condition of the cover. Rubbings, staining, library stamp, remarks made by pen and discolouration on the hardcover, frayed margins. Paper tape on the inside of the front and back covers. Library stamp and library sleeve on the inside of the front cover. Two library stamps, various remarks made by pen on the front page. Pages 12 and 13 reinforced with the paper tape.
