Original vintage tourist advertising brochure in Russian and English languages dedicated to The Peter and Paul Fortress, the original citadel of Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Russia, founded by Peter the Great in 1703 and built to Domenico Trezzini's designs from 1706 to 1740 as a star fortress. Between the first half of the 1700s and early 1920s, it served as a prison for political criminals. The brochure includes the history and description of the fortress, accompanied by photographs of its different locations by B. Losin and illustrations by Y. Pushkin. Created my L. Belova, translated by N. Tikhonova, edited by T. Golubeva. Published by Izkombinat "Hudozhnik RSFSR" Rosglavpoligrafprom Goskomizdata RSFSRб Leningrad, 4 pages. Very good condition, folded, the sticker with a price on the cover, minor browning, and creasing.
