Colonel W. de Basil's Ballets Russes was a ballet troupe founded and managed by Colonel W. de Basil, Russian ballet impresario. Illustrations are by André Derain, French artist, painter, sculptor and co-founder of Fauvism; Raoul Dufy, French Fauvist painter, as well as draftsman, printmaker, book illustrator, scenic designer, a designer of furniture; Joan Miró, Spanish painter, sculptor, and ceramicist; André Masson, French painter, sculptor, illustrator, designer and writer; Jean Hugo, painter, illustrator, theatre designer and author; Léon Bakst, painter, illustrator, theatre designer and author and others. Published by Alliance de Publicite et d'Impression, Paris. Poor condition, cover is detached, tears, loss of materials and red paint staining creases on the margins of the cover. Good condition of pages. Staining. Some pages have bent corners.
