Original vintage constructivist magazine Ekran, issue number 37, December 1925. The ‘working newspaper’. Weekly magazine on recent developments in the USSR and abroad. The cover features the drawing The Russian Crown from a 1905 American caricature depicting a skull in form of the traditional Imperial Crown of Russia. The back cover features the illustration for the advertising for babbitt production. The issue includes articles about the Decembrist revolt with portraits of the protesters; the story The Case of the Monkey with illustrations by K. Homze; Nicholai II Emperor of Russia; the Fourteenth Party Congress with photographs of Stalin and Molotov; the story of the Romanian writer Panait Istrati; The Order of the Garter in England; film reviews and advertising accompanied by photographs and drawings. Published by Published by Glavlit, 17 pages. Poor condition, cover and pages are loose, tears on the cover and pages, browning.
