Original vintage reference El Lissitzky: 1890-1941: architect, painter, photographer, typographer dedicated to El (Lazar) Lissitzky, a Russian artist, designer, photographer, typographer, polemicist, and architect, who played an important role in the development of the Russian avant-garde. The book is published for the major retrospective exhibition organised by the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, the Netherlands in cooperation with the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, Russia, the Fundacion Caja de Pensiones in Madrid, Spain, and the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris / ARC in Paris. This exhibition marks the centenary of the artist's birth and for the first time brings together two most important Lissitzky collections, from Moscow and Eindhoven. The book features illustrated overview and analyses of the different aspects of the artist's work by art leading experts: Yve-Alain Bois, Selim Chan-Magomedov, Kai-Uwe Hemken, Jean Leering, Peter Nisbet, Henk Puts, Maria Nemirovskaya. Published by Municipal Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, 225 pages. Very good condition, minor stain on the cover, minor browning.
