Gustav Klutsis - Valentina Kulagina

Soviet Agit-prop artists Gustav Klutsis and Valentina Kulagina first met at VKhutemas Art School in Moscow, in 1921. What followed was a 16-year relationship marked by intensive creative output. This book focuses on their mass-produced, printed works such as posters, books, magazine covers, illustrations and photomontages. A biography of the artists is presented with information on their relationship, political lives, Klutsis' arrest in 1937, and Kulagina's subsequent struggle to protect his name and works.
