The publication is a part of the book series Heroes of Avant-Garde, dedicated to the most influential artist of the Russian artistic Avant-garde. The book covers the life and art work of El Lissitzky. El (Lazar) Lissitzky (1980-1941) was a Soviet artist, designer, photographer, typographer, polemicist, and architect, who played an important role in the development of the Russian avant-garde and is illustrated with various images of artworks, including collaborations with Kazimir Malevich and ASNOVA, an Avant-Garde architectural association in the Soviet Union, which was active in the 1920s and early 1930s, commonly called 'the Rationalists'. El Lissitzky became its proponent in the mid-1920s, designing the one issue of the journal ASNOVA News (Izvestiia ASNOVA) in 1926. Published by publishing project Russian Avant-garde, 271 pages. Very good condition, minor stain.
