Illustrirovannaya Gazetta is an illustrated supplement to the newspaper Pravda. This issue features some wonderful photographs, including the cover image which shows the Mechanization square of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition, printed in colour. A feature on the arctic includes great images of Ivan Cherevichny, a Soviet pilot who completed polar flights, as well as scientists conducting experiments and camping on the ice. The back page is devoted to sport and shows images of a parade of gymnasts, as well as athletes running on a track and doing high jump, motorcyclists and people sailing. Very good condition, minor tears and creasing, number 37 written in pencil on front cover. No staples.
