The book contains a wealth of information about graphic artists, with colour reproductions of posters and designs. Includes a feature on German artist Alfred Mahlau, with examples of his cover designs for the Der Norden periodical, a feature on calendar designs, an article about the publishers' trip to Hungary, accompanied by a photomontage. A section devoted to Paul C Molnar, the Hungarian painter and wood-engraver, contains bibliographical information alongside his woodcuts. Also features an article about cattle branding, with images of the symbols used, and a section on cartoonist David Low, alongside his caricatures of personalities including G B Shaw, Aldous Huxley, Lloyd George, Winston Churchull and J M Keynes. Poor condition, cover and first page are detached, tears, creasing and paper losses on page edges, staining. Pencil writing on front cover, ink stamp on first page, damage along the spine.
