Russian illustrated magazine Spark, in circulation since 1899, issue number 15, 15th July, 1933. Published by the Kommersant Publishing group. On the front cover is the project proposal of the House of Soviets by the architect B M Iofan, various advertisements on the back cover. This edition features a poem ‘Working Days’ by Margarita Aliger, and an article ‘Notes about the Purge’. List of artwork inside: a photograph by N Kuleshov of the funeral of Klara Zetkin; photographs about the Soviet alliance by Georgiev and Kislov; photographs of the Baltic-Great Sea canal by Blohin. Fair condition, staining on the front and back covers, pen marking on the back cover, frayed edges, loss on margins. 17 pages.
