Dated 10 December, 1929, this is the twenty-second volume of the magazine for politics, culture, criticism and bibliography, titled "Kniga I revolutsiya" ["Book and the revolution"]. Released in 4500 copies, this bi-weekly publication celebrates the literature of the Soviet Union, reviews newly-published books, and overviews the state of the Soviet publishing industry. The articles in this issue touch on the dialectics, recent Soviet poetry, economical questions, and fetishizm in musicology, among others. The design is by Varvara Stepanova.
