Krokodil was a satirical magazine published in the Soviet Union. It was founded in 1922, at first as the satirical supplement to the Workers' Gazette, later becoming a separate publication. Since 1934, Crocodile has been the most important official mouthpiece of politics at all levels of social and political life. The magazine published both satirical materials and illustrations of significant achievements of the USSR. This issue's cover is made by M. Cheremnykh, Soviet graphic, cartoonist, book illustrator, poster master. Has illustrations by Kukryniksy, notable collective of three caricaturists/cartoonists in the USSR with a recognisable style. And B. Efimov, Soviet political cartoonist best known for his critical political caricatures of Adolf Hitler and other Nazis produced before and during the Second World War, and was the chief illustrator of the newspaper Izvestia. Published by "Pravda" newspaper, 275 000 copies. Poor condition, tears, heavy water staining, creases, loss of material on the spine, pencil handwriting on the back cover and on the first page. 26 pages.
