Krokodil was a satirical magazine published in the Soviet Union. It was founded in 1922, at first as the satirical supplement to the Workers' Gazette, later becoming a separate publication. Since 1934, Crocodile has been the most important official mouthpiece of politics at all levels of social and political life. The magazine published both satirical materials and illustrations of significant achievements of the USSR. Constuctivist cover made by K. Eliseev, Russian Soviet graphic artist and theatre and film artist. This issue is illustrated by various artists, such as K. Eliseev, Kukryniksy, M. Cheremnykh, E. Evgan, B. Fridkin, S. Kostin, A. Kanevsky, I. Semenov and L. Brodaty. Published by "Pravda" newspaper, 114 000 copies. Poor condition, tears and loss of material on the margins and the spine, staining, creases, frayed pages. Staples are missing, pages are detached. Pencil handwriting on the back cover. 10 pages.
