"Around the World" the oldest Russian and Soviet magazine focusing on popular science and geography, history, world culture, published since 1861. Cover illustration by B Nechaev. List of this issue's artwork included illustrations by S Verkhovsky for the story "Glass Ball", B Nechaev for the story "Damned Fish", A Lubimov for the story "Revolt on the "Saint Ann", N Kochergin for the story "Garm Prisoner". Kochergin was a Russian (Soviet) avant-garde painter, graphic artist, and sculptor mainly active in Leningrad. Born near Moscow, Kochergin studied at the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry in 1908-1918. Published by "Krasnaya Gazeta", 1929. Poor condition. Frayed cover and pages. Frontcover is detached, pages are semi-detached. Loss of material and tears on the spine and margins, pencil handwriting on the back cover, rubbings, water staining. Cut out piece by scissors on page 13. 24 pages.
