"Around the World" the oldest Russian and Soviet magazine focusing on popular science and geography, history, world culture, published since 1861. Cover illustration by N Kochergin, Russian (Soviet) avant-garde painter, graphic artist, and sculptor mainly active in Leningrad. Born near Moscow, Kochergin studied at the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry in 1908-1918. List of this issue's artwork included illustrations by B Antonovsky for the story "A Brown Dog Case", M Pashkevich for the story "Wolf Trick", G Fitingof for the story "A Man Who Lost His Face". Published by "Krasnaya Gazeta", 1929. Fair condition. The front cover is missing. Frayed spine, pencil handwriting on the back cover, rubbings. 24 pages.
