"Around the World" the oldest Russian and Soviet magazine focusing on popular science and geography, history, world culture, published since 1861. Cover illustration by I Tkachenko. List of this issue's artwork included illustrations by I Korolev for the story "Forest Academy", G Lange for the story "Bayano River's Crocodiles", Beluha for the story "Mashka", N Kochergin for the story "Electropolis". Kochergin was a Russian (Soviet) avant-garde painter, graphic artist, and sculptor mainly active in Leningrad. Born near Moscow, Kochergin studied at the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry in 1908-1918. Published by "Krasnaya Gazeta", 1929. Good condition. Slightly frayed spine and margins, pencil handwriting on the back cover, rubbings. 24 pages.
