"Around the World" the oldest Russian and Soviet magazine focusing on popular science and geography, history, world culture, published since 1861. Cover illustration by N Kochergin, Russian (Soviet) avant-garde painter, graphic artist, and sculptor mainly active in Leningrad. Born near Moscow, Kochergin studied at the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry in 1908-1918. List of this issue's artwork included illustrations by I Korolev for the story "Forest Academy", Usto-Mumin for the story "To Middle Asia", B Antonovsky for the story "John-Nitric Acid", N Kochergin for the story "Electropolis". Published by "Krasnaya Gazeta", 1929. Good condition. Slightly frayed spine, pencil handwriting on the back cover, rubbings. 24 pages.
