Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 9, 30th March 1930. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. This issue is dedicated to the October Revolution 1917. Illustrations by R Frents. Rudolf Rudolfovich Frents was a Soviet and Russian painter, watercolourist, graphic artist, illustrator, and art teacher who lived and worked in Leningrad. He was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists and one of the founders of the Leningrad school of painting, most famous for his battle and monumental painting. Good condition. Slight rubbings and staining. Unbound copy from a yearly subscription volume, top edge of the magazine is cropped. Frontpage is missing. Pencil handwriting on the back cover. 20 pages.
