Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The cover depicts a still from the movie "Little and Big". Articles include "National Cinema's Issues" by H Gabidullin, "New Ways of Goskinoprom of Georgia" by Cote Mykaberidze. Illustrations by M Getmansky, graphic artist and illustrator, originally from Taganrog. Getmansky designed book covers for publishers such as Krug, Detgiz and Gosizdat. He also produced illustrations for numerous publications, namely magazines (Krasnaya Niva and Ogonek), children’s books and travel guides (such as Soviet Travel). In 1936 Intourist issued a new Soviet Union tour guide aimed at foreign tourists and businessmen. The guide contained many illustrations by Getmansky, as well as ethnographic maps designed in his characteristic style, showing Central Asia, the Caucasus, Georgia and Armenia. Good condition, some rubbings. 12 pages. Published by "Tea Kino Pechat", 1928.
