Pamphlet depicts life and career of Douglas Fairbanks, American actor, screenwriter, director, and producer. He was best known for his swashbuckling roles in silent films including "The Thief of Bagdad", "Robin Hood", and "The Mark of Zorro" but spent the early part of his career making comedies. He was considered one of the biggest stars in Hollywood during the 1910s and 1920s. Constructivist cover by P Galadzhev, Soviet cinematographer, actor and renowned artist. A bright representative of constructivism, in his work he often used photomontage. Written by A Abramov. Contains photographs and stills from the movies Fairbanks took part in. Published by Kinopechat, 40 000 copies. Poor condition. Frayed spine, rubbings, staining, tears and loss of material on margins. Pencil handwriting on the front page. Library stamp and pen remarks on the back cover. Staining on pages throughout the pamphlet.
