Biographical pamphlet dedicated to the life and career of Ramon Navarro, Mexican-born film, stage and television actor. He began his career in silent films in 1917 and eventually became a leading man and one of the top box office attractions of the 1920s and early 1930s. Role in "Scaramouche" brought him his first major success. In 1925, Novarro achieved his greatest success in "Ben-Hur". He made his first talking film, starring as a singing French soldier, in "Devil-May-Care". Constructivist cover made by M Getmansky. Mikhail Getmansky was a graphic artist and illustrator, originally from Taganrog. Getmansky designed book covers for publishers such as Krug, Detgiz and Gosizdat. He also produced illustrations for numerous publications, namely magazines (Krasnaya Niva and Ogonek), children’s books and travel guides (such as Soviet Travel). Written by Vlad Korolevich. Contains photographs and stills from the movies. Published by Kinopechat. Good condition. Minor rubbings and staining. Red-ink pen handwriting on the front cover. Pen markings on the back cover.
