Original advertisement brochure for the movie "Jewish Happiness", a silent film shot in the USSR in 1925 based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem. A motion picture depicts the situation of the Jewish poor, driven by the tsarist regime beyond the Jewish Pale of Settlement. The brochure was designed by N Altman. Nathan Isaevich Altman (1889-1970) - Russian and Soviet painter, avant-garde artist (cubist), sculptor and theatre artist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1968), master of portraiture. The brochure contains stills from the movie and illustrations. Good condition. Rubbings, dust staining, soiling. Minor tears on the spine, creases on margins.
