Issue № 10, 1939 of "Ogonek", Soviet sociopolitical and literary-artistic illustrated weekly magazine, one of the oldest in Soviet history. Edited by Mikhail Koltsov, Soviet Journalist, Bolshevik Revolutionary and an NKVD Agent. Constructivist cover by V Klimashyn, Soviet graphic artist, master of magazine illustrations, posters, easel watercolours and drawings. In the 1940s, the main artist of "Ogonek", the author of famous covers for this magazine. His works presented in the Tretyakov Gallery, the State Central Museum of Modern History of Russia, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia and the State Museum of Fine Arts, all in Moscow, the Kursk Picture Gallery and the Museum of Fine Arts of Karelia, as well as private collections in Great Britain and Moscow. This issue's artwork includes photographs by N Granovsky, V Mikosh, M Trakhman, illustrations by M Hrapkovsky for the story "Tricky Feather" and a poem "Where is the Rooster Going". Published by the publishing house "Pravda". Acceptable condition. The front cover is detached from the binding. Rubbings, minor tears on margins. Pencil markings on the front cover and on page 23.
