"Women's Magazine" was a magazine focusing on various subjects, such as literature, art, health, current affairs, culinary recipes, handiwork, fashion and others. This issue's artwork includes illustrations by E Lineva for the story "Revenge", photos by S Fridlyand for the poem "Withering". Semyon Fridlyand (1905-1964) was a socially-grounded photographer with a remarkably gifted eye for colour. His career would begin at "Ogonek" when at age 20, he was invited to work as a photo laboratory assistant; and would conclude with "Ogonek", where he would eventually serve as its director. He published his photographs often in "Sovetskoe foto", "Novyi Lev", and "USSR in Construction", three of the most important magazines for photography in the Soviet Union, and his works were included in the exhibition "Ten Years of Soviet Photography", 1928, and in "Film und Foto", 1929, the most influential international exhibition of photography in that era. Published by the publishing house "Ogonek". Poor condition. The back cover is missing. Rubbings, staining, tears on the spine, creases on margins. Water staining on the bottom margins on pages throughout the magazine.
