Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 40, 1929. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. Cover illustration by V Konstinitsin. List of this issue's artwork includes illustrations by B Efimov for the article "Visiting Vesuvius", front page illustration by Yu Pimenov. This edition includes an article by N Petrova with the accompanying illustrations by the Stenberg brothers. Vladimir Stenberg and Georgii Stenberg were Soviet artists and designers. Initially, they worked as Constructivist sculptors, later as theatrical designers, architects, draftsmen and graphic designers. Good condition. Slight rubbings and staining, frayed spine and margins. Library stamp and pen handwriting on the front cover. The lower edge of the magazine is cropped. Pencil handwriting on the back cover. 23 pages.
