Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 48, 28th November 1926. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. Cover illustration by K Yuon. Konstantin Fedorovich Yuon (1875-1958) was a Russian and Soviet painter, landscape master, theatre artist, art theorist. Academician of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1947), People's Artist of the USSR (1950), Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the first degree (1943). List of this issue's artwork includes illustrations by R Frents for the story "Year". Rudolf Rudolfovich Frents was a Soviet and Russian painter, watercolourist, graphic artist, illustrator, and art teacher who lived and worked in Leningrad. He was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists and one of the founders of the Leningrad school of painting, most famous for his battle and monumental painting. Fair condition of the cover, frayed spine, tears on margins, rubbings and staining. Pages are in good condition.
