Issue № 12, 1941 of "Ogonek", Soviet sociopolitical and literary-artistic illustrated weekly magazine, one of the oldest in Soviet history. Edited by Mikhail Koltsov, Soviet Journalist, Bolshevik Revolutionary and an NKVD Agent, Koltsov founded popular magazines such as "Krokodil", "Chudak", "Sovetskoe Foto" and "Ogonek". Frontcover montage by V Ror. This issue's artwork includes picture of I Stalin by M Kalashnikov, illustrations by S Rastorguev for the stories "Manuel" and "Ksendz", illustrations by Yu Tsishevsky for the story "On the Suvanto Lake", illustrations by N Zhukov for the article "From the Memoirs of Contemporaries about Marx", illustration by Yu Ganf for the article "With the Lightning Speed", illustrations by B Efimov for the story "My Stage Debut". Efimov was a Soviet political cartoonist best known for his critical political caricatures of Adolf Hitler and other Nazis produced before and during the Second World War, and was the chief illustrator of the newspaper "Izvestia".
